The fashion industry is terrifyingly fast changing and offers an over- whelming choice to consumers. The consumers feel the urge to follow as many trends as possible, which leads to mass consumption. Little attention is given to quality and sustainability. Slowthing was designed to make the recipient actively consume and ac- tively question the value of clothing. We created clothes hangers, which can not be taken directly from the rail. This unfamiliar situation cre- ates room to reflect the moment of consumption.
